CIO

João Landau

Landau started his career in 2004 at AAA Asset Management. In 2005, he joined BTG Pactual's equity research team, focusing on the coverage of Oil & Gas companies. In 2008, Landau joined Paineiras Investimentos, where he was a partner and portfolio manager for 6 years before founding Vista Capital in 2014.
Chief Economist

Alexandre Maia

Maia started his career in 1999 at Unibanco Asset Management working in macroeconomic research. Between 2002 and 2014, he was Chief Economist and Partner at Gap Asset Management, the same position he later held at Kyros Investimentos from 2014 to 2015. Before joining Vista as Chief Economist, Maia was Senior Economist at Gávea Investimentos between 2015 and 2020. M.Sc. in Economics from EPGE-FGV/RJ.
CEO

Vítor Uchôa Nunes

Uchôa began his career in 2006 at BTG Pactual in the operations department. In 2016, he became a partner and COO at Leste, and in 2019, he founded Gavea Marketplace, acting as CEO until joining Vista Capital in 2024. M.Sc. in Economics from EPGE-FGV/RJ.
Counsellor

Persio Arida

Arida served as President of the Central Bank of Brazil in 1995, President of BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank) from 1993 to 1994, Director of the Banking Department at the Central Bank of Brazil in 1986, and Secretary of Economic and Social Coordination at the Ministry of Planning in 1985. Additionally, he was a director at Brasil Warrant and a member of the Board of Directors at Itaú. He also served as a director at Opportunity and held the positions of Chairman of the Board and CEO of Banco BTG Pactual from 2008 to 2017.

In his academic career, he was a professor at PUC-Rio from 1980 to 1984, USP (University of São Paulo) from 1979 to 1981, Princeton from 1978 to 1979, and Oxford. He was also a researcher at the Smithsonian Institute from 1984 to 1985. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Commodities

Lucas Valente

Lucas started his carrer in 2016 at Banco BBM in the credit quantitative analysis area. In 2017, he joined Vinci Partners in the middle office area and in the same year joined Vista Capital. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from PUC-Rio.
Derivatives

Arthur Braga

Arthur started his carrer in 2006 at UBS Bank in London in the Emerging Market Equity Derivatives desk. In 2007, he joined Barclays Capital in London as a trader in the Exotic Equity Derivatives & Fund Derivatives desk, focusing on the European market. In 2011, he joined Goldman Sachs in New York as a trader and proprietary market maker for Emerging Markets Equity Derivatives. In 2013, he was transferred to Goldman Sachs' São Paulo office to develop the local Equity Derivatives business. In 2016, he joined Stone Ridge Asset Management in New York as a trader and portfolio manager. Finally, in 2020, he joined Vista Capital. He holds a degree in Control and Automation Engineering from PUC/RJ, with a dual degree and a Master's degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse in France.
Fixed Income and FX

Joaquim Sampaio

Joaquim started his career in 2014 in the macroeconomic research area of Banco BTG Pactual. Between 2018 and 2020, he worked as an analyst and trader at Península Participações. Before joining Vista Capital in 2022, he was a manager at RPS Capital. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from PUC/RJ and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics to Finance from MIT.
Brazilian Equities

Bernardo Schoichet, CFA

He started his career in 2015 at Turim Family Office, where he stayed until joining Vista Capital in 2016. He holds a degree in Engineering from PUC-Rio and is entitled to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Global Equities

Gustavo Castro

Gustavo started his career in 2014 in the equity analysis area of Banco BTG Pactual, covering the TMT sectors and later Oil and Gas. In 2018, he joined the global equities team at Adam Capital, where he worked as an analyst and then as team head for four years before joining Vista Capital. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from PUC/RJ.
Investor Relations

Raquel Dias, CFA

Raquel started her career in 2015 at BTG Pactual. At the end of the same year, she joined Constellation Asset Management, where she was a partner and responsible for investor relations area until 2022. Before joining Vista Capital in 2024, she was a partner at the venture capital manager Canary, where she worked on raising foreign investors. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from FEA-USP and is entitled to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
